Reports are delivered by email, and you or your designated colleague
can check your energy profile(s) online over the web from any web
browser. ERM staff are pro-active in their efforts to help clients
resolve issues and meet their needs. These services provide
the link between buildings, data, people and action.

the collected data in an easy-to-use format, suitable for presentation
to other energy decision-makers throughout your company. This report
includes a graphical demand profile (or other desired parameters) and
summaries of pertinent information, such as consumption,
minimum/maximum demand values, and more.

The data collected belongs to you. Even if
you are not in the position to utilise this raw data immediately, there
may come a time in the future where access to it could be extremely
beneficial. For example, if your electricity supply market
becomes deregulated, and you are able to negotiate prices based on real
15 minute consumption data, rather than on averages and guesses.
Instead of spending money to purchase stand-alone energy accounting
software, then spending more money in annual software maintenance fees,
paying staff for the time they spend learning to use the software (and
paying for that training), paying staff for the time they spend each
day/week/month to collect and validate the raw data and drive the
software, and provide for additional computer resources, it is far
better to have your people spend their time improving energy
ERM offers a complete solution; you need to do nothing but respond to
our reports, and take appropriate action. We believe this
complete energy service, encompassing metering to solution, is unique.
A data logger (a small electronic device), modem, and software are
shipped to you by ERM. The data logger requires meters with a
pulsing output. Such meters will normally be indicated by a
pair of low voltage wires exiting the meter (usually to a Building
Management System). Your energy provider will be able to tell
you if this output is available on your meter. That energy
provider will also be able to advise on the necessary procedure to
change your meter to one with a pulsing output, if necessary.
Alternatively, ERM can arrange for a separate pulsing meter to be
provided or alternative connection to the data network to be enabled.
The fees have not been set to include installation of the data logger,
since this is a simple function and can normally be handled without
difficulty by your buildings’ maintenance
engineers. Alternatively, ERM can arrange for a local
electrician to handle this.
Costs for the entire service will pleasantly surprise you.
ERM uses smart technology to best suit your organisation’s
plans and budget. For most clients, even the task
of having clerical staff collect and collate their meter data, let
alone having experts on staff to analyse it, would cost them more than
this entire professional service.
The only internal cost to your organization is the time spent improving

collecting data, validating data, comparing data, running software,
